Today Translations Ltd was formed to meet the demand for high quality translation, localisation and conference interpreting services with an emphasis on providing quality within fast turnaround times. We deliver cutting-edge services to industries as diverse as ICT, Broadcast, Software, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Medical, Retail, E-Commerce and Call Centres, backed by a plethora of professionals who are or have been extensively involved in those sectors.

At Today Translations, language and culture are an integral part of our lives, and with a combination of passion and determination we can ensure this is reflected in your project.

Unlike other translation companies, Today Translations is determined not to treat each translation project as a purely mechanical exercise. If clients have taken the trouble to choose a professional service over machine translation software, then they deserve special treatment.

Since start-up, Today Translations has invested heavily in IT hardware and software. Today, we boast a robust networked office with full system back-up. All linguists are required to use appropriate software to support product requirements - i.e. special fonts and layout - and are encouraged to use Trados or other Computer Aided Translation software.

Our database houses a network of international linguists, both within and outside the UK. Thanks to their expertise, we can provide services in over 160 languages.

Today Translations, About usFounded by Jurga Zilinskiene in 2001, Today Translations Ltd has grown rapidly ever since. After studying law and economics and then teaching herself computer programming, she then worked as a translator and inventor before spotting a gap in the market and setting up her latest venture: Today Translations. The business, which won her a Shell LiveWire Award in 2003, manages a database of over 2,600 linguists, interpreting and translating in more than 160 languages for 2000+ clients.

Our team-suppliers selection criteria
show  hide
To protect and promote the interests of the client and the company, Today Translations employ linguists who are formally trained and have a minimum of two years active experience that can be validated. If a candidate has qualifications in other subject areas but has no formal linguist training, we ask for five years' translation experience.

The screened applicants selected for an interview must fulfill our strict criterion and only then will receive an application form which is bound by Today Translations Terms and Conditions of Business for confidentiality, impartiality and quality assurance clauses. The candidates are also required to complete a test translation, and if successful, are entered onto our database.

As part of our registration process, linguists are required to supply full details of their qualifications, proof of membership of professional bodies, two references, their curriculum vitae, ‘police subject access letter’ and a copy of their passport.

Protecting the environment

Today Translations seeks excellence in all aspects of business, and is committed in continuing to improve our environmental performance and efficient running of operations.

PandaCurrently, all our staff travel by public transport to work and our offices are virtually paper free! To progress, we have implemented a policy for our employees to follow in order to ensure that our impact is minimal.

  • Avoid unnecessary waste and encourage appropriate conservation and re-use.
  • Promote good environmental practice to our business partners

Ethical standards
show  hide
By working closely with The Fairtrade Foundation we continue to support developing countries and put our ethics into practice by striving to ensure that fair rates are paid to all our translators no matter where they are in the world. During registration, our linguists are prompted to set their going rates which we then apply to all their projects. This allows us to maintain our excellent working relationships and promote ethical trade.
