Duties

• Day-to-day running of multiple translation projects through the entire project lifecycle, keeping within budget and set timescales.

• Performing analysis of the projects including background information gathering; analysing potential threats, opportunities, technical and/or cultural issues.

• Liaising with suppliers and clients.

• Offering prompt and reliable support to the clients and suppliers through the entire project lifecycle and beyond; recording and responding to enquiries.

Core competencies

• Ability to manage project discovery phase, liaising with clients and suppliers.

• Ability to scope, plan and budget projects, incorporating crucial details such as risk management and return on investment.

• Ability to give sufficient input into the technical, linguistic and/or cultural analysis of the project.

• Ability to applying hands-on management when necessary.

• Ability to concentrate under pressure and attention to detail.

• Ability to write correspondence using various communication styles such as formal business, sales, marketing, reports etc.

• Ability to keep up-to-date IT skills within fast changing environment.

• Ability to communicate in professional and attentive manner over the telephone and in person.

Candidate requirements

• Graduate calibre, with proven record in project management.

• Experience in team, resources and financial management in a real time environment.

• Good communicator, able to work and adapt in a competitive and fast-moving industry.

• Bilingual, with exceptional written and spoken English and second or first language.

• Fast, committed and independent learner.

• Excellent IT skills: advanced level in MS Office package including Power Point and Access, intermediate level in InDesign, HTML and CAT tools.



The salary starts at £20,000 per annum plus bonus after successful completion of a three month probationary period.
