Organisation Background

Mishcon de Reya is a commercial law firm based in London providing a wide range of legal services to businesses and individuals in the UK and overseas. Services include corporate, litigation, property and dispute resolution.  Formed in 1988, the firm gained a wider reputation when partner Anthony Julius represented Diana, Princess of Wales in her divorce.

Requirements

Today Translations was appointed to translate numerous legal materials and presentations from English into Russian and English into Chinese Mandarin. The translations were to be proofread and localised to ensure the text was suitable and meaningful to the target audience.

Solution

Our company assembled a team of native-speaker Russian and Chinese Mandarin translators and localisers with in-depth knowledge of industry terminology and minimum of 10 years experience translating in the legal sector.

Translation-memory technology was employed throughout the project, ensuring cost-effectiveness to the customer, consistent terminology, and efficient handling of different file formats. In addition, interactive proofreading was incorporated during the various stages of the English to Chinese translation and English to Russian translation to guarantee the end product was grammatically accurate and technically perfect.
