Company Background

Reed Business Information is the business division of Reed Elsevier Group PLC, the world leading publisher and information provider operating in four core segments – Science and Medical, Legal, Education, and Business. Reed Business Information is a powerful player in the Publishing Industry, providing communication and information channels for a number different industries across five continents.

Requirements

Today Translations undertook the task of providing English to German, English to Italian, English to Polish, English to Portuguese, English to Romanian and English to Spanish translation and voiceover services for Roadtransport.com coverage of the “European Road Transport Show” in Amsterdam. Our company was requested to provide localised .wav files which would be synchronised with the footage produced internally.

Solution

Roadtransport.com supplied Today Translations with the English script of the footage for the entire duration of the show. The script was then assigned to a team of professional native-speaker translators and localisers specialised in a mechanics and automotive terminology.

The translations were made compliant with voiceover requirements, ensuring the length of the localised speech was in line with the original script before the recording took place. Voice-over artists were then carefully selected for the professional recording of the localised scripts, according to exacting requirements of our client. Using state-of-the-art studio facilities and qualified sound engineers, our company ensured a high-quality standard of the sound files and proper synchronisation with the video footage.
