At Today Translations, we will handle your English French translation in the same manner we handle other translation such as English to Italian, English to Chinese, English to Arabic, English to Russian etc. This way we can ensure your translation meets not only our accuracy standards but also your warranted demand of having content localised to the regions where French is spoken; including France, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg. The same care is taken when we process your French to English translation.

As for French, the way its speakers write and interpret their own language varies fromEiffel Tower one region to another and is strongly dependent on the local culture, customs and neighbouring influences.  In its written form, French spoken in the Canadian province of Québec ('Le Québécois') differs from standard French in many ways.
For example, a 'small shop' would be 'un petit magasin' in France and 'un dépanneur' in Québec. A 'bank' would render 'une banque' in France and 'une caisse populaire' in Québec, while a 'car' would be translated as 'une automobile' in France and 'un char' in Québec.

Our experienced team of translators and interpreters provide English to French translation and French to English translation which recognises the cultural idiom for your target audience.

You want a French to English translation but aren't sure whether its interpretation will comply with English spoken in United Kingdom, United States, Australia or Canada.

When we work on French to English translation, we are aware that, despite the fact that American, British, Australian and even Canadian English are generally mutually intelligible, there are differences strong enough to cause misunderstandings or even complete communication failures.

The most important thing is that these differences aren't limited to the way words are written (e.g. "color" and "colour", "program" and "programme"). While some British words like "naff", "semi" or "busk" are usually strange to an American individual, many Britons will find it hard to understand the meaning of "rutabaga", "eggplant" or even "stool pigeon". Also, caution should be taken in the US when asking to be "knocked up".  In United Kingdom it means to be awakened as with a knock on the door but in the US it means asking to be impregnated.

At Today Translations, we aim at providing you not only with a French English translation but also with a localised version of your translated documents. This means we want your audience to feel they are viewing an original document and not just another translation.
