A country that has settled into the mists of recent history for many, its name is evocative of some of the most harrowing images of the end of the 20th century. Yet from suffering come stories that demand to be shared, and a pioneering publishing house is committed to translating the literary cream of the Balkan crop. Faruk Sehic’s Quiet Flows the Una was met with acclaim throughout the region, and now is available in English translation for the first time. TT was at the book launch to find out more.
