Our translators and project managers have the insights and diligence to make your Czech translation stand out from the crowd in Prague
Since our founding in 2001, Today Translations has been a pacesetter in the Language Services Industry. Our experience, expertise and quality control systems are the reasons we have become the go-to provider for Czech translation services for blue-chip companies and private clients alike.
Our basic promise is to protect the quality of production: your texts will always be translated by a linguist whose mother tongue is the target language, be it from Czech to English or English to Czech, and who has otherwise demonstrated the highest levels of bilingualism. Moreover, the linguist working on your job will always possess official translation accreditations and must have given evidence of 5 or more years working in the industry or specific technical field. We will never accept standards less stringent than these because we are committed to providing the highest quality of service.
Work with us to rest safe in the knowledge that your security is our number one concern.
It is widely recognised in both corporate and governmental bodies that the provision of translation services presents a potential risk to the end-user, especially if they are not able to cross-check the veracity of the translation or the accreditations of the linguist. Disseminating foreign language communications to a wide audience is a high-stakes venture, so be sure to work with a provider who has sealed all the gaps. Today Translations has proven the value of being ahead of the curve in this regard; we were the first specialist translation company in the country to qualify for the official ISO:27001 Data Security Accreditation, our systems for which are regularly audited. With us, your financial information, personal data, and intellectual property are fully protected from cyber-crime in all its guises.
When time is of the essence, work with a company that won’t frustrate with undue delays. Today Translations understands the value of eliminating inefficiencies in workflows, and we have always been proactive in this regard. Frustrated by failings in management systems that were industry-standard at the time, our CEO learnt to code before designing and creating our project management system, QCS+. This bespoke CRM system allows our project managers to have a 360-degree view of every aspect of our project operations, meaning that no stone is left unturned and no detail is left neglected.
The standard output of one professional Czech translator is 2,000-2,500 words per day. This ballpark figure should be taken into account when planning for the timing of your order. That said, we can certainly assemble larger teams of linguists to work on a project on an express basis.
We understand how important value for money is when sourcing translation services. That’s why we will always search for the best rates available for your Czech translation. In consultation over any proposed translation job, our project managers will always explain our transparent pricing structure in the clearest terms. We can also offer discounted rates for long-term clients, corporate partnerships or larger projects, so you get the return on investment that you need.
The Project Management team at Today Translations is the cornerstone of the quality and consistency of our service. They all gain official qualifications from the Association of Project Managers shortly after joining the team. In addition, they are qualified linguists in their own right, which means they have a professional eye for detail on the finer sensitivities of translation jobs. The efficiency of their work is supported by the best project management, translation memory and productivity tools on the market.
If you have any queries before, during, or after working with us, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Czech is a West Slavic language spoken by roughly 12 million people around the world, of whom 10 million live in the Czech Republic itself. The country has a proud history, stretching back beyond the foundation of Charles University in 1348 (one of the oldest in Europe) to recent times when the territory bestowed upon the rest of the world a motley assortment of contributions to global civilization: the Czechs gave us refined sugar, contact lenses, and a great literary tradition including Franz Kafka and Jaroslav Hašek, author of ‘The Good Soldier Švejk’.
Like many Slavic languages, Czech can be a challenge to learn, in part because of its complex case system, but also in terms of the language’s sounds. For instance, the famous Czech ‘ř’, as seen in the name of the famous composer Antonín Dvořák, is unique to Czech, pronounced rather like ‘rzh’. Moreover, many words in Czech can be constructed just as sequences of consonants, without any vowels.

We were overall delighted with the standard of service and Today Translations delivered, in terms of translation quality, time and attentive customer care. They were highly responsive, creative and were central to the success of the translation and quality assurance process. The project managers we dealt with were collaborative and operated very much as part of the team. I would commend our experience of working with Today Translations to other organisations requiring professional translation services.
